CostaAlert privacy

What we process

You can browse the feed without an account. Creating an account provides your email address and, if entered, display name. Authentication is handled by Supabase. Your password is not displayed to other users.

Reports you submit include their text, category and map location. A report and your display name may appear publicly. Do not include private information about yourself or others in a report.

If you grant location permission, CostaAlert uses it to position the map or a report. The Android app does not request background location access. You can deny or revoke permission in Android Settings.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the app and Supabase provides its database and account services. Map images are provided by OpenStreetMap or Esri depending on your selected layer. Place-search text is sent to the Photon service operated by komoot to return matching places. Map providers receive the map areas requested by your device. Network providers receive information necessary to serve requests, such as your IP address. Browser storage keeps your session and app preferences.

Deletion and contact

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data using the account deletion page. Contact info@pharoahtechnology.co.uk with privacy questions. We may need to confirm account ownership before acting on a request.
